Question Pattern of Orissa High Court ASO exam

               Orissa High Cout ASO exam contains three important phases that are 1) prelims, 2) written exam (Full subjective) and 3) Computer Application test. 4) Viva Test

1. Prelims

• The prelims exam consists of 150 objective-type questions with multiple choice answers.
• There shall be a negative marking of 0.5 (half) mark for each wrong answer.
• The minimum qualifying marks for all these papers shall be 40% (33% for SC/ST candidates).

2. Mains

• The mains exam shall consist of 3 papers namely English, Mathematics and General Awareness & Test of Reasoning.
• The English paper shall be qualifying in nature and will be a subjective one.
• If the candidates fail to score more than 45% (33% for SC/ST candidates) in this paper, further papers shall not be evaluated.

3. Computer Application Test

• The computer application test is qualifying in nature.
• The candidates must score a minimum of 50% on this test.
• The marks obtained in the test shall not be considered for the final merit list.

Skill Test	50	0.5 hour

4. Viva Voce Test

• The Viva-voce Test is for 40 Marks
• Total marks = Written Examination + Viva-voce marks. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained.
• The candidates must secure a minimum of 40% of marks in the Viva-Voce test.
